freeinbondage: Pet and the FO

So I've noticed the past couple of times I've done readings with the FO deck my cat feels she should be involved as well. she'll walk up purring and nuzzles my deck of cards, and she'll lay on them if i have the spread out. I mean literally stretch out so she's touching all of them, and she'll just purr and purr and purr. Next time it happens and I have a camera near by I'll take a picture, its cute! So does anyone else have pets that try to involve themselves in readings? :)

No pets that get involved in readings here (well, we have a turtle and some goldfish but I doubt they'll get involved unless I start doing readings in the bath :P ), but I'm pretty sure my son is seeing faeries. Sometimes, in the middle of whatever he's doing, he'll look over to some part of the room and grin and chortle at it. Tonight he was doing it while I was feeding him his dinner. Perhaps the microwave, coffee maker and kettle were doing something behind my back...

*smiles* ahh to be the age again where 'seeing' was so much easier!!!!!! Why oh why is it as adults we have to give everything a reason? blah! :) How old is your son? I'm assuming not old enough to talk to you about what he's seeing yet right?

Not quite yet - he's just coming up to ten months old. He talks a lot, but not in a language I understand! I can't wait until I can understand him though, I'm dying for him to tell me what he's seeing.

I have two cats that as soon as I pull out the deck run around the apartment in a frenzied urgency. Only to have them end up at my side after playing (usually while I shuffle). Believe it or not they read the cards too. I know this sounds dumb but when I feel a little disconnected I ask my one cat to nod when I'm done shuffling and I have friends that can vouch for me she nods. Those readings are always head on. My other cat when I fan out the cards I ask her to pick a card and she will rub the side of her face on them. I will take the group of cards she touches until she narrows it down. When I have about three cards left she will bat at one (or else try to bite it, I told her not to, but she likes to for some reason). That is usually my helper card and again usually head on. My cats used to sit on my cards and run whenever I got the deck out. To take care of the situation I let them get involved in my readings, now they don't lay on my cards as much....

That's pretty amazing! Sammie, my cat she's done a few readings as well. Several times our roommate has been pulling cards and she'll go 'i can't decide' and Sammie will just walk over like its her duty and nudge a card out. She also does the nodding thing when I'm reading for others, as though she's agreeing with what I"m saying, cats are pretty amazing!

Very loving, supportive, independent, sometimes very fickle and a trifle moody, not to mention extremely playful and carefree hmmm, yeah I'd say cats and fearies are very similar indeed, if not kindred souls. They'll give you the nudge you need if you forget something (by chewing on your homework *yes my cats would chew on my homework, not my other papers, but the ones they have seen me pour over* or else meowing when you are just out of reach to make you get up), and they will remain completely free spirited and loving, when it's good for them. I love my animals so much.

You have given this group a couple of good discussions and I like commenting on your blogs. I am going to add you as a friend.

Well thank you :). I have a lot of random thoughts that fit this community, and well that through-out my jornal. Thanks for adding me, I'll add you back :) My cat love homework, she's constantly trying to 'help' me. and when I'm studying psychology she thinks that she can absorb the information for me if she stretches across the textbook while I'm reading it :)...very much like part of our card reading ritual :)

She wants IN on what you are doing. Show her two cards, face down, and let her "pick" one; see what kind of message you get. :)

She will already pick out cards when I fan them out for readings. Last night I was doing a reading for my fiance and she laid in my lap the entire time. at the end of the reading after I closed it out, I asked her if she wanted me to put the cards up, and she grabbed my arm as though to say no not yet. it was adorable, so I left them out and she was content.

That's so precious! I wish my family cats lived with me, but alas, I got stuck with the hamster. Perhaps he would help me, though I think he'd rather just chew on the cards...
